I'm very interested in the advantages of cold approaching like portability -meaning you can do it anywhere with anyone. Most of that I got from this Todd-v video in which he claims, for all its advantages, that it is a cheat code.
Social skills acquired cold approaching I see can also export to any kind of setting in which one has access to women.
I feel have dealt with a good amount of the honesty, confidence, and abundance concepts related to inner game to feel like to start going out more directed and maybe with more structured or thought-out forms of outer game which I'm very interested in mastering. Trying not to sacrifice the spontaneous aspect of it that makes it worthwhile though.
As with most hard things, the emotional load of game for me comes from its obvious value. The load is most evident when dealing with the massively volatile negative emotions involved, particularly when one is as neurotic as I am. Negative emotions are at times unbearable.
I remember one of the first nights going out with a friend who at the end mentioned how great it went for me, while I was destroyed inside due to nothing major occurring.
So many times I've felt shitty after an interaction just because I didn't close in any way. When just having an interaction with a woman I had just met was miles away from what I had done up until that point. Those new things should be measures of success, rather than yet unrealistic expectations on full-closing. Though full-closing more often should come eventually.
And so I'm planning on building that kind of positive feedback loop in which out of positive emotion of previous success I reunite more courage forward.
Some outcomes trigger my negative emotions to places where it becomes hindering instead of driving me forward -which I've learned can happen reading about the big five personality scale.
I figured I need to work out some intensity/quantity ratio if too much intensity risks hindering acting on something proposed, or too damaging because of a negative outcome after trying it out.
Exactly like this user mentioned in relation to cognitive behavioral therapy.
This is all about voluntary encounters with that which I fear. High neuroticism makes it necessary to design smaller forms of that fear so confronting it is not as costly.
The idea is to start dealing more often with the inner tendency to interpret events negatively and bring a healthier thought process for me, something that is more neutral, to begin with, although to something more positive ideally.
Some of what I've done until now includes strong eye contact, at the point of staring down strangers. And more recently started including confident smiles (fixing my teeth helps a lot). Studying the big five personality thing I've also started to make a habit of mini-cold reading people and sharing those observations to produce conversation, though under night game and with relatively familiar to my social circle, faces.
I'm very interested in reading what you guys have done or any ideas I can try out myself.
there doesn't seem to be anything here
