I had this in the United States too. It's not a problem, it's a huge advantage.

When women ask you questions about you - that's an indication of interest. So just by being who you are, women are interested in you and curious about you. This is hugely beneficial. Few other things can make a woman ask you 5 questions about you in a row without you having to make any effort at all.

Another reason it is such a benefit is that you get the same questions from everyone. So it allows you to prepare and practice really good answers to those questions which might even further increase her interest.

I think the reason you see it as a negative is because you're at some level embarrassed or ashamed of where you come from. You might see your own country as less than the US, I'm not sure. But either way, it's probably triggering you because it's an insecurity you have. I don't know that for sure, but it's my guess. You didn't even mention your country, but said "Eastern Europe". Are you ashamed of where you're from? What you can't hide, or fix, you have to own and be proud of. You should have the biggest smile on your face when you mention where you're from, like you can't wait to talk about how amazing your country is. Even if you're from Russia, you should be like "I am from mother Russia" show a big smile and then crack a few jokes about the war to ease the tension.

Everyone has an accent. Even if you are from the same country, your will have a local accent.

People don’t care unless they can’t understand what you are saying or if the accent is too thick and fobby.

I have not been to states yet ( will go later that year) so I cannot say yet how the people there would react to my accent. But I do not think that a accent should be problem to be completely accepted by the locals. Being a Austrian myself I want to use 'Arnold Schwarzenegger as a example. The guy lives in America for ages but still does not sound like local born American and he will probably never will. His accent did not limited his sucesss. He got big in Hollywood and even went into Politics.

But I am not sure if there are good or bad sounding accents for americans. I personally think that my austrian english accent does not sound that cool but maybe Americans think it sounds decent.

I will find out when I am in the states I guess and talk to some ladies.

In general I think that your accent should not limit your sucess. You are live in the country for quite some time and now how it works there. Try to not to feel offened about the question where are you from. This question does not have a negative tone always.

Lol, I am from Eastern Europe and have reframed my accent as a sexy foreign accent. Only insecure people worry about stuff like this. If you can't fix it, feature it.
