I am a 38-year-old male & my girlfriend of 2 years who is 24. I am beginning to find out that yeah, its great been with a 24-year-old who is super-hot but it comes with it’s downside. She is unbelievably immature sometimes & she has this very entitled attitude. It appears that she was very spoilt as a child & her dad was beta. We live separately & I work have a good job but she is unemployed but looking for work. She keeps mentioning babies & moving in together, but I am adamant on this that neither of these will happen anytime soon until she is working & stops with the immature attitude & believing the world revolves around her. She has this habit of having some spoilt idea that she thinks I should help her with & when I decline she spits her dummy out & basically resort to telling me to fuck off or telling me to leave her alone. So, I tell her that I will not be spoken to like that & she will say something like “leave me then”. I will then go silent hoping for an apology & she will finally text me with some shit like “see you don’t care you’ve not spoke to me all day”.

What I find hard is been emotionally strong. Like, if she’s mean or threatens to end the relationship I turn into an emotional whimp & sometimes I find myself apologising for something I’ve not even done. I can now see that I have enabled her behaviour over the years I have known her. I thought her attitude would get better the older she got but I’m not so sure now.

We are currently not speaking over some shitty argument that happened last night because I told her that she needs to do certain things herself & not rely on me. Last night she told me to fuck off & this morning she told me to get lost. I have not spoke to her since. So how do I hold frame in these situations & not end up been a doormat?
