context is, if you haven't read my last post. Im a 16 yr old guy who sits next to this girl due to a seating plan. For the rest of the year (and final year of school) the teacher gives constant input as we're going over past papers in preparation for sitting exams in the summer. Currently, me n that girl have almost zero connection. At the start of the year she was complaining about how she sat next to me (this was only ever once and within the first 5 minutes but still) but she doesn't mind talking to me now as we've had few laughs. By no means am I her interest in talking tho as she much prefers talking to her guy friends on other tables (they have no intention of dating her) but they're obviously much closer to her than I am. I tried talking to her today but I was stuck on conversation starters that would keep a convo going for a little bit, I should also add she sometimes looms up to me when chatting but not always but I do always make eye contact. Found out her group is literally right next to mine during lunchtime but there's no way I could approach their group as A I currently don't talk to the girl outside of class whatsoever but none of her friends know me much either not to mention it is a group of just girls so they wouldn't want that anyway. What I'm looking for right now is conversation starters that will at least begin to establish a connection with her and slowly but steadily begin to get us close. It isn't the fact that I'm anxious to talk to her (unlike last Monday where I tried before asking for advice) it's just I couldn't think of a way to start a conversation which isn't related to answers or if this or that makes sense or if we both understand the work. It is probably an extremely broad question but I've attempted to best explain that we're by no means friends at the moment and would like to establish that and take it from there. I understand it is also a very broad question to ask for conversation starters for a girl you don't know. Most approaches on this reddit I've found to be way too forward to try so I'm hoping there's some alternatives instead. Kudos to anyone who sorts by new and thanks for any advice. I am asking for so much here but if you have some beginner friendly ways of flirting that would be great also thanks.
