What the fuck does "empowering"/"degrading" even mean? You have some who say the sex industry is degrading to women. And then you have someone else like that Belle Knox girl who says it is empowering, and all the feminist rush to her defense and agree.

At the end of the day, I don't think you should waste time trying to figure out the morals of these things and why people think the way they do. Just focus on what they do, because that is the far more predictable action. The justification/rationalization comes afterwards. Porn pays well without requiring advanced degrees or qualifications. People will do it. How they rationalize it afterwards is uncertain, you hear stories like that Duke porn star about being poor (while she is clearly rich as her father is a doctor, she went to prep school, and she apparently didn't qualify for any financial aid meaning she is well above middle class). For others they actually are poor and it is their only shot at making some decent cash. Sometimes it is about "empowerment". But at the end of the day, does it really matter?

I guess you did not finish reading the side bar material, there are couple of things you can conclude from that observation, I will give you an easy one, the first thing you have to understand about women is that objectivity and reason are not part of their thinking process. Think about that for a minute, then read what you have wrote.. You can see that every girl is out there thinking about her own needs, so self-centerd nature is the main giveaway when you are talking with women, you can notice lots of "mee, meee, me me, me, I, I, I, me me" so for some women to contradict other women it is completely normal.

It's simply another case of feminists/hamsters wanting to take agency away from women for the sake of destroying something men enjoy.

The two main whining points of modern feminists, slut shaming and objectification, directly contradict each other. Feminists want to shame women who willingly consent to having their holes destroyed on camera. They claim porn stars, models, strippers etc are taken advantage of even though the women consented to being objects for men's pleasure.

I personally am in favor of women having agency, and don't want to take away their right to objectify themselves in exchange for money and appreciation.

I don't think the porn industry is all that powerful, just pervasive.

Sex work of any variety is what it always has been in a first world country like this, a place for lazy women to earn a lot of money fast and without much effort. Considering the rather pathetic amount porn scenes really pay, women would be better advised to be strippers or escorts, at least they can move on to some higher quality chump after they're done.

Because once they're on camera, doesn't matter if it's 1 scene or a thousand, they're branded a porn slut for life.
