Yeah don’t man. You have a picture of this girl in your head that’s over exaggerated of who she is. If you actually want to do this I would get a pass from your friend and approach her.
These big romantic gestures usually scare and hinder your chance. But none us of know you actual past and the history there. Do as you like in the end.
Edit: I support shooting your shot and not regretting what you wish u did. Just add some class to it.

partially the problem is that i have a job as a wedding cinematographer and ive been to weddings every weekend for the past 4 weeks and have 3 more coming up this month so im constantly seeing weddings and getting a bit anxious on my own love life. i might be reaching here but its hard to not think about it. also 2 of her friends just got pregnant and had kids so i feel like eventually my time to shoot my shot is going to be over

You are rushing things because of wedding fever. Anxiety isn’t going to win her over. For all you know she’s freaking out about the same thing. She’s human too bro. Shit how about giving her a reason to see what you do and dress up sexy to a random wedding. Cool date idea

What he meant is your giving yourself excuses to fixate on her rather than realizing there are billions of woman in the world all with the potential of being better for you. Your current mentality is like a starving man and you only see one meal that you may not get. This will make you devastated if someone else gets it. It’s ok to have her as the girl your gonna shoot for but it’s not do or die.

I’ll try to untangle your previous comment then tell you what I would do in your situation btw it’s 1 am where I am so I’ll try to make this quick
What I read is I’m busy. I’m seeing weddings and I want to marry her (from the original post).
2nd part of that was I don’t want to lose her to another guy. Hence the friends getting pregnant and all (at least that’s what I got from what I read)
Now here’s what I think. You are busy grinding true. But you don’t know her reality. And in all actuality if it doesn’t help you get closer to her you shouldn’t worry about her reality especially if she hasn’t told you these things. You’re just creating unnecessary obstacles.
Here’s what you need to go off of. You’re a male got a lot of good shit going on, and you find her very attractive you want her. That’s it, now go after her.
Now how to go about it is easy, you already know her family, you already know her. Start going over to her family’s place talk to her make fun of her flirt with her here and there. Or better yet get her on the phone, start conversing with her. Tell her we should grab food together that’s how you do it.
Don’t buy her flowers
Do what I just said instead
