I'll take a stab.

(1) Eggs are more valuable than sperm. By a lot. Men will "club each other to death" for eggs. Men don't value other men that much, comparatively and neither do women. Men love women. Women don't love men the same way.

(2) Conventions have been established to mask the reality that eggs are more valuable than sperm. Examples include the notion of romantic love, the taboo on discussing sex openly, and one that I find particularly interesting, clothing. Clothing hides not only our sexual nature but the fact that everyone would be attracted to women and that men receive no reciprocal interest). These conventions allow men to stay happy and motivated. It protects women from being swarmed by unwanted interest.

(3) There are other facts about sexual nature that are masked for society to work well. These include hypergamy, the dichotomous mating preference (lover/provider), and the differences between the sexes (i.e. cognitive differences).

(4) the difference in nature and experience between an alpha and a beta is hard to overstate. it's huge

(5) All of these conventions are taboo.

(6) Society is far more than we intuit a product of sex and various conventions that have been built around it. Sex and reproduction is a primary motivator. The conventions around sex amount to much of society.

(7) Every person's primary motivation is themself. Conventions mask the level of selfishness that exists.
