Lol okay she told you what you wanted to hear. Women are raised to please everyone else, so they will say stupid shit like this to not feel guilty. She is saying "I'm not talking to my ex, I promise" but what she really means is "I can't talk to him if I have his dick in my mouth", so technically she is not lying.

I would be kind to yourself and not let this get to you too much, it does just happen. But it genuinely could be that it felt too soon, that she was self reflecting and realised that dating is abit too much for her right now. I don’t think it’s personal and there’s not really anything you can do to help someone through this headspace besides giving them space. If she really meant something to you, you can always check in in 3+ months just saying genuinely saying hi, but I’d just let it go and keep dating/doing what you want too.

Attraction isn't gained just from a physical picture or by meeting someone. From messaging you she wasn't attracted to you. Maybe you were chatting too much like friends and got friend zoned? Or maybe you did nothing wrong and it's just something on her end. Who knows the truth.

Stop texting so much. You killed off any attraction and mystery there was in the beginning by being overly available and responsive. Understand that women will always read your behavior. They are experts at it. And what your behavior is saying is:
"I don't date much if at all and have even less sex than that, so now that you have responded to my message online I have to do anything in my power to keep you around and engaged or else you will either find someone else better or you will figure out what a sad loser I am who has no other options".
this is what you are subcommunicating through your texting behavior.
