Sometimes be nice sometimes give them shit. It's kinda part of being normal.

No one likes a suck up. No one likes an asshole. Someone who commands respect for not being a bitch but we'll give them the time of day and lend a hand. Now thats an ally and a friend

Nah, just be a decent person but don't suck up to them, invite one or two of them to hangout to get closer to them and the group, try to wedge yourself in and make good impressions. Next thing you know you're a part of their group
