It's called What Women Want When they Test Men by Bruce Bryan; I know subtle title (but hear me out). It goes into detail why women have to test men (consciously or subconsciously). Before I would bitch and moan on "why do they women always push my buttons?!" part of it was because of my really bad and toxic relationship with my older sister (but that's a whole different can of worms) and to some extent it was affecting my dating life. Later I learned there's a few good reasons behind it. The author explains that part of it is to protect herself, another part has to deal with biology so good look trying to change nature and (my personal favorite takeaway) it's a win-win situation for her:

A. Oh I tested this guy and he's weak, not someone I want to be with

B. Oh I tested this guy and he's truly confident, I want to be with him

I now have a better understanding, she's showing interest but she's not going to make it easy for me. Now don't confuse this with women who are manipulative. The author brings point up as well by saying you need to be strong and assertive when she tests you BUT you don't have to tolerate women that play mind games. Because no matter how hot or attractive she is...do you really wants to have a relationship with a toxic person??! Do you now??

td;lr- Highly recommend this book and it's a short read too!
