(24 M) Went out in the morning to buy an acai bowl. As I was driving and looking for parking I noticed a lot of attractive girls out walking. I saw two girls walking together and I thought that would be a fun approach since I'm just a beginner at cold approaching but they were gone when I finished finding a parking spot.

After, I saw a cute girl walking up ahead so I decided to approach her. This was my first time approaching from behind so I used what I learned about walking until I was a bit in front of her from the side. I then said how I noticed her back there and told her she was cute and wanted to say hi.

I didn't see that she had her headphones in but she still heard and noticed me. I was then honest and said I don't know what to say now and asked her for her name.

She said her name and that she had to go, but she said thank you.

Ways to improve would be to talk slower and use pauses. I should've just said hi first or wave when I was in front to allow her to notice me more smoothly.

Although there is some nervousness, it is still very fun not expecting anything from these interactions as I try to step out of my comfort zone. In my last post I explained how just giving a compliment to a girl I liked was a step in the right direction.
