No, you're an unique individual and you're the only one to ever experience this. ;) Joking aside, for me it what helped was investing more in myself and take some time away from women. Stopped making them a priority and getting the rest of my life handled. Still working on my social skills, but not with the goal of attracting somebody. Simply for the goal of having fun and improving. In the long term that paid off. In general I communicated from a place of lack because I simply felt I was looking, so part was investing in myself and improving myself and part was more mindfulness/meditation and accepting myself as I am.

Hey thanks for the response! I want to work on more self-improvement and setting authentic goals. I do wonder though, it seems like some people who become obsessed with self-improvement and like exercising a ton and taking up a ton of hobbies, do it to fill an emotional lack. For many people, it seems to, but some people just seem to optimize their selves instead of accepting their self. Maybe it is a balance?

Big questions to ask yourself before you work on self-improvement and setting authentic goals. What does that exactly mean for you? Self-improvement can become mental masturbation in which you can indulge too much if you're not conscious about it.
Then again it's also a learning path. For me the scale first tipped towards doing nothing and later to becoming obsessed with sports and self improvement before I could find a balance. Atleast a balance for the time being. I feel like it still is a balancing act sometimes even though I started it quite some years ago. That said, the balancing act has become easier.
For some people there seems to be a dichotomy of improving yourself vs accepting yourself. For me however they seem to be different sides from different coins. You can improve yourself and willing to become better, whilst also accepting who you are and enjoying where you at. It's a bit like gardening. You work to make your garden flourish and keep the weeds out, while also having moments to simply sit in your garden and admire your work.
