Hey

Over the past few weeks I've really swallowed the pill.

Been working out and lifting, setting and following goals, going out and socializing more whenever I get the oppurtunity in my busy schedule, and basically developing a positive identity for myself for the first time in a long time.

Applying TRP principles with mixed results, but I've generally found them to be applicable and provide a good framework.

Now that I'm working out and lifting a bit, I look slightly better. I have a better haircut and look, and I have a better personality. I'm seeking out new conversations with people, and getting comfortable socially around women. Women are more attracted and receptive to me, and I get more matches on Tinder after revamping my profile.

I usually do ok with the 5-6s and get nervous but manage myself around the 7-8s in person. However, today I matched with an 8 on Tinder, and my first thought was along the lines of a John Oliver-y voice in my head going 'Oh no, you've clearly made a mistake, you shouldn't have matched with me'. I was so overwhelmed I sent her a very basic message without thinking and genuinely considered unmatching her. I'm not proud of it, but I looked up her instagram as she mentioned in her profile. She was more of a 7, but tons of betas in her DMs. I tried to play it cool but honestly I was caught off guard matching with her. Didn't send her another message though but she unmatched me within a couple of hours and I thought, that seems about right, yeah. I was relieved. I know I was putting the pussy on a pedestal, disqualifying myself, not assuming attraction. I'm happy I wasn't more overtly beta though.

My larger question is for those people who've found TRP and gone through a transition from nice guy beta to Chad, and are in the process, how do you get used to it, or make that mental transition in your self-image?
