What's so wrong with her thinking you're interested in her romantically? You are into her. That's not a big deal if she knows that, and even more so she may reciprocate those feelings.

The longer you keep putting her on a podium the more disappointed you'll be if she says no. Just talk to her as you would normally?

Think of these two lines:

I don't know her too well yet

I'm romantically interested in her.

The only thing you see with her right now is potential. Don't get your thoughts wrapped up in romantics: Oh I'm going to take her on candlelight dinners I'll write a serenade for her I'll get her some flowers. You don't even know her too well yet. If you start confessing to a girl you hardly know that you are romantically interested in her she'll likely think: "Uh, we hardly know each other". Take it slow dude.

So come at it from the perspective that she has potential. Right now all you want to to is get to know her BETTER. Then see how the ball rolls from there.

Just aproach her casually, compliment her on something not her natural beauty, but rather something she has control over, like her clothing style, or "the way her eyes smile" (personal favorite here. Often works wonders) , and offer to meet for coffee.
