Don't try to be sexual while texting her, it could come across as thirsty. And it seems too early for that to send those signals.

Instead just talk about things you're both interested in, or whatever the new teen trends are.

You don't need to be obviously flirting or anything. Just conversing together shows you're into her :)

Don't worry. We have all been there. Most men have the charisma of a stone while texting. Just remember a couple of points.

Don't try to keep the conversation going all time every time. If you feel it's going to die, end it on a high note. In simple words don't let the conversation go to one word replies. Trying to keep it alive will do more harm than help.
Take a notepad. Try to remember everything you know about her or everything she said. Note down points which you think can be conversation enhancers. Use them. Just don't use all of them in a single conversation.
You can try some role play in texting. I have not done it personally but a lot seem to be recommending it.
As for leaning towards sexting, it all depends on the situation. But it's risky though, if you try to force it, she may see you as a jerk.

TLDR; Try to find out things she said about her before in conversations and use them to build conversations, try role playing and then when you think everything is going right introduce sexting.

I'm in your exact situation right now and I used to have the exact same problem. I had a friend sort of teach me how he texted women and then I put my own spin on it.

-don't always be the first to text her. You want to keep a frame of her chasing you and she can't do that if you're always initiating

-don't ever try to force conversation. If it dies let it die, if she really wants to talk to you she'll text you later with something you should be able to work with

-role playing is probably one of the best things you can do. Yesterday I got on a mechanical bull and actually hurt myself on it. I sent her the video and then role played with her on her being a nurse taking care of me.

-If you haven't met her yet or hung out much I wouldn't try making anything too sexual. A little innuendo here and there won't hurt but you don't want to come off as too desperate

-add her on snapchat. It's way more fun to send a picture of you doing something interesting than just texting her alone. Whenever things get boring over text I just move to snapchat and it seems to move very smoothly

And finally the best advice I can give you is to just not be boring and have some fun with it. Don't ask how her day is going or what she's doing, that stuff is so boring and it's literally what every guy texts. Talk about hot weather balloons, monkeys, whether or not furniture salesmen sleep on their couches during their lunch break. It honestly doesn't matter what it is as long as you stand out from the rest of the guys she talks to.
