Paris is awesome. I love it. I'm actually heading there next week and Cajun is in Monaco as we speak.

Best neighbourhood overall is Montmartre - it's a bit outside the city centre and is very typically Parisian without being too touristy. There are a lot of nice small bars as you go up the mountain (off the main boulevards) that attract locals.

Do you speak french? Because that helps immeasurably. If you don't speak French, learn a few words and pretend like you're trying, rather than walking in and ordering in English like 90% of tourists. Just a bit of effort can help you avoid the stigma of being an obnoxious tourist - Parisians don't hate tourists, they just hate the 90% that they find obnoxious.

Aside from that, the big clubs are located around the Champs Elysee. You need to dress really well, and bring girls (or have a reservation/bottle service). Chat up some american girls you find on the street and say you can "get them in".

Rue de Mouffetard also has some good venues and a college student demographic.

If you want to know my game in Paris, it goes like this:

Open conversation in French > switch to english relatively quickly > talk crowd into going to karaoke > sing this song > profit :)

Well as a parisian i'd recommend st Michel/st Germain districts ( 6 and 7) where there is a lot of bars and animation until 2/4am, then about the clubs sure you have some of them around the Champs-Elysées duplex is more student type, you have 79 or Matignon as expensive/vip type Finally i'd recommend you to Check my favorite place in paris atm, the nuba rooftop, the spot is just beautiful and the parties real Nice !

If there is a girl at the top of the Eiffel tower with a skirt on try and give her the look she might want to get it @ the top of the tower.
