I'm old enough to remember life before the internet. If you wanted to learn something you typically went to school for it and/or read about it in a book. But all the details of how to negotiate everyday life (let alone sexual strategy) weren't so readily available. This was lumped into the vague category of "common sense" and it was not uncommon to find people who were very learned but were awful at negotiating everyday life. IE: "he has book smarts but no common sense".

What we have before us is something that has not existed before in history. This is a place where we can go to gain information on how to navigate sexual strategy and many other things relevant to everyday life. The information here was not available back then or at least very little of it could be found in readable form. And the appearance of the web didn't just make it happen right away. You couldn't find this information at this level of abundance a decade ago. It took years of the web to make it happen.

So how do we classify this type of learning? It doesn't exist in printed book form and it doesn't deal with established academic subjects we would need for career advancement. What do we call this type of learning?
