I know that this isn't much of an accomplishment, but I went to an event at my church today and talked to a bunch of people including a bunch of girls despite having lots of anxiety about doing so. The whole time I was talking to these girls, I felt weird and awkward and the conversations themselves were short and brief. I know I wasn't at my best, but at least I was able to accomplish that. I feel kind of down though because I wasn't able to have a long conversation with most of them and really connect with someone.

I'm 24 and currently in college and one of my goals this year is to meet women. So I joined a college church service, hoping that I would meet some people and meet some girls. To be honest, I didn't join the church service to learn about God, I just wanted to meet people, so I feel like I have no choice but to overcome my fears and talk to girls otherwise I will have wasted my time coming here.

But it's so hard, feeling socially awkward and struggling with depression. I have pretty bad depression and feel like no girl will ever be attracted to me, I watch them talk to other guys and ignore me and it hurts. I want to feel wanted and desired by a woman, to have someone who is attracted to me. Iv'e never felt wanted in my life, and that's why I cry. But I have no choice but to keep going because if I don't swim I will sink.
