The other day I was getting breakfast at a shop. Above the register is one of those old-timey boards (like this) where you just put up letters and prices for the menu. I noticed they had used an upside down "U" in place of an "A". I teased the cute girl behind the counter and said "I'm not sure you could get away with that in Scrabble". She replied "Oh I never cheat in Scrabble". I asked her the last time she played and long story short was able to set up a Scrabble date with her Monday night.

Now, normally when I go on a date to a coffee place like this, I try to sit on the same side of the table as them if it's at all possible and doesn't feel uncomfortable, but with Scrabble, it would be really awkward to do that.

I did very little escalation in my first interaction with her (my mistake) and kino may be limited on the date (although I'll sure as hell try, any ideas??). I've been there in the past and I really want to avoid any possibility I can go in the friend zone. Help /r/sed!
