19, pretty good looking guy, swallowed the pill this year and have been lifting, reading and starting meditating.

I'm a classic Nice Guy (likely from my upbringing). I'm fine talking with girls one on one and do basic kino but the conversation topics are always dry and I can't escalate for shit. I've been reading NMMNG but it doesn't seem to be helping. Was at a public house tonight and a few girls started chatting me up -- we talked about life, where we're headed for college, etc., then later I see some guy just hooking up with them. It's almost like I'm afraid / embarrassed, whether it's on the dance floor or at the bar. I seem to take things too seriously and just can't 'let loose'. Maybe caused from some inner insecurities, or from my anxiety, idk. I'm also self conscious rn (due to braces) and couldn't drink much bc of Accutane... I know these are excuses, and I don't want them to hold me back any longer.

I'm probably going to the same public house for a party next week, and then college starts in August. I'm frustrated and disappointed in myself. I don't want to regret my next four years like I do my time in HS, and I need to change from the person that I was unfortunately raised as.

Advice? Thanks in advance.
