I can't hit on women if there's an unattractive woman around. Does anyone else have this issue?

I feel really bad when there are two or three girls out together and one is really pretty and the other one or two are plain. I've seen it so many times it actually breaks my heart a little bit. Probably reminds me of when I was a teen and I had a good friend who all of the ladies thought was hot. I remember how it felt for everyone to have their attention on him as if I wasn't even there. I see it in their sad faces and their sad eyes. I probably looked as bitter and unattractive as these girls look to me now.

Women in that circumstance - the HB7's that surround themselves with 4's and 5's do so because they have self-esteem issues. In my experience the HB7's that hang around with HB8's and HB9's are a much easier prospect. But the former type, the hot girl surrounded by unattractive woman - she's looking for validation. Unless you can give her that validation by being the hottest guy in the room, it can be one of the most difficult pick-up situations.

Personally, I can't do it. I feel the pain of the ugly girl and I compensate by giving her too much attention. And while I'm being nicey-nicey with the less-attractive girl some douche-bag swoops in and steals the hot one. So my advice to you is to bring me or some other suitable AFC's along and send them in first. Hopefully they will have hearts and will take pity on the HB5's leaving you the HB7.

You like who you like. There's nothing for her to take personal- believe it or not there's women out there who may not find you attractive, it's just the way life is.

There's a really good lecture by RSD Ozzie, he calls it "Never Ignore Fattie." Yeah, that's his term, not mine. He says that in any one set, there's usually one unattractive girl who tags along with the HBs. They bring her along out of sympathy, and she cockblocks everyone because she's frustrated. So I can see how you'd be nervous around a girl like that.

So RSD Ozzie says find a random AFC and throw him at the unattractive girl. Both the chump and the girl will be grateful for the attention from the opposite sex. You might have to throw them together repeatedly, since they will probably blow their set repeatedly. But if you keep the girl occupied with an impromptu wing, she will be too busy to cockblock when you run off with her friend. AND you will be bringing value to the set, you're finding a potential mate for the undateable girl, her HB friends will appreciate it too. So don't find too horrible an AFC for her.

Also, don't forget set dynamics. It is a common tactic to focus attention on the women you're not interested in. That's another thing RSD Ozzie discusses. You are supposed to be getting along with everyone in the set except the target, who you treat like your bratty little sister. So when the HB sees you getting along with everyone but her, even her unattractive friends, she wonders what is wrong and she tries to get your attention and starts to qualify herself.

I got the same problem... I'm only into direct daygame these days and sometimes the cutest girl comes along who's together with her really unattractive friend. And then I usually don't approach.

I've done it on a few occassions, still... but I don't feel good either about the unattractive girl's feelings - since I am coming from a place of low self-esteem and once felt pretty unattractive myself and would not want anyone to feel the same way.

Does anybody have any mindsets / inputs on this as it relates to direct game?
