Yes, this is a classic routine, I think I first heard it years ago on some mp3 files by Style. You go to a department store, pick out two shirts (or something like that) and say "hey I need a woman's opinion. I wonder if I should buy the blue shirt or the red one." Women love to spend other people's money. She offers an opinion, the routine continues, "Thanks. Now you can be my personal shopping consultant." You don't have to actually buy the shirt, you can drop it in your cart and abandon it later.

I have pretty good success with this routine. It isn't exactly a canned routine since it plays out differently each time. But you can keep it moving forward very simply. Her choice of one item or the other is irrelevant to proceeding with the routine.
