Today I was out daygaming and after walking around for 2 hours having done two mediocre approaches, I decided to venture to the annex practice rooms at the bottom of the arts building, which music students (including myself) utilize for practice at certain times of the day on certain days of the week. I approached one girl (whom I knew of through a class we both were in last year) and initially mistake her for another girl who happened to be in the same class. She was texting on her phone and she told me she needed to get back to practicing piano. I acknowledge this and I too admit I must get back home and practice. I then proceed to ask her whether she would like to hang out some time over the holidays, to which she declines saying she is visiting family back home in her home city. I tell her "okay, well you have fun in x" and proceed to leave. Anything I could of done better? I have seen her on several occasions this year around the music school but I have never had an opportunity to build rapport with her in an extended conversation.
