Mark Manson: my or the highway?

My thoughts - I'm not really aware of all the seduction coaches online so my views will be comparing Mark Manson (via his book Models) with Neil Strauss and Mystery (via the books The Game and The Mystery Method.)

In comparing the two, I find it impossible to say which is objectively better as their methods differ greatly as well as the outcome. What are you looking for from the PUA world?

Personally I prefer Mark Manson to Strauss / Mystery. This isn't because he's "better", but because his methods are more in line with my ideals and the results I want to acheive. I'm not looking to go out multiple times a week and sleep with as many attractive women as I can. If I were to do that, I'd probably prefer the methods of Strauss / Mystery. Manson's approach is more about improving yourself to help meet attractive women and maintain significant relationships with them.

tl;dr - It's extremely difficult to say which coach is "best" - Find a coach who resonates with you and take it from there

I feel like Mark can sometimes be very opinionated, sticking firmly to his own conclusions and not looking at other perspectives very much. As a result, he tends to look down on the community and see his way as the "one true way." Not that he doesn't have valuable things to say, but I think his way of thinking is a little more rigid than others.

Keep in mind, this is coming from a perpetual newbie, so take this with a grain of salt.

Best is going to depend on your goal. My personal favorite is Greene's Art of Seduction. Are you a youngster aiming for hooking up with plenty women or are you a career man seeking to learn seduction for a more long term influence over people?

Personally I am not a fan of Mark Manson's book Models and his overall philosophy. Not that it doesn't have good tips here n there but it's not really geared toward seductive tactics per se as he puts more emphasize on his opinionated self improvement guidelines, mainly being vulnerable and 'honest'. He resembles more of a Dr.Phil for men IMO.

Mystery/The Game is if I remember correctly more experimentally laid out and follows the history of a bunch of guys going from noobs to gurus. It's an interesting read, but it won't leave you with a good understanding of social interactions so that you become an autonomous seducer. My experience is that at the very best you'll become a highly effective, rigid and contextual artist.
