How to deal with overthinking

I used to have this problem. Now that I have a boyfriend, I don't have to deal with it as much. The way I used to cope is to either distract myself from these thoughts or do an activity that relieves my anxiety. Honestly, this behavior never really helps. I used to overthink and create a whole different scenario in my head. It could range from, "they're in love with me!" to "they want nothing to do with me." In reality, they were just getting to know me.

This is probably stemming from some anxiety/OCD tendencies. Maybe if you focus on relieving some of those symptoms, the overthinking will lessen.

Get out of your head and into your body. Watch some videos from the YouTube channel The Fearless Man. A man by the name of Brian Begin talks about this. I use to be stuck in my head when I was younger, over-analyzing every little thing. As I got older my confidence improved and I don't over-analyze that much.

When you get into your body, you start to notice things you wouldn't have before.

There's this woman at my job who I would give eye contact and smile. She would hold the eye contact but would not smile. Most guys would be confused, but because I have been getting into my body a lot more, I took it as she was attracted to me... even though she didn't smile back.

I was right.

It's interesting how when you get into your body, you're able to fix things about yourself from within.

"I notice that when I talk to women, I feel like I'm invading their space. I need to overcome this so I won't come off as not being interested or a "nice guy".

Talk to trusted friends. Getting a second perspective works wonders for my busy mind (and by extension my anxiety)

Do you have some examples? I get that you are overthinking, and it is probably putting a mental strain on you, but how is it actually manifesting in your game? What actions do you take because you overthink? That could really in giving you some good advice.
