So this might be a bit of a story but this literally just happened.

I work with my female coworker A. She joined my indoor team for soccer.

We have another girl K on our team who plays on two teams in our league.

There is a guy N who plays on the other team. We only play this team 1-2 times per session.

Apparently N asked K if she could ask her to get A's number. I believe this is because N rarely sees K and would also not want to be rejected in public after a soccer game or it might seem like an appropriate place.

Eventually N got A's number. The first thing he texted was, "Hey this is K's friend N. How's it going?".

Personally I thought this would be completely normal first text but A just told me this was such a stupid text and sent me this "😑😑😑😑😑😑 because that's the start of EVERY fun conversation".

Apparently she and another one of my girlfriends believe he is being a pussy, not taking initiative, and seems too nervous.

If he would have just straight up asked her out or that first text asked her out, A would have been much more interested instead of thinking he is a coward.

So like the majority of these posts, just be forward with what you want and don't be afraid to ask her out!!!
