Don't listen to all these chinese kung-fu maniacs. If you want to kick some ones ass in a fight 1. Learn to grapple (jiu jitsu) 2. Learn to kick and strike hard (muay thai or taekwondo) 3 or just take mma and get a little bit of both and you are good. All these other bullshito losers are just talking about sporting fight styles with exception of a few that have nothing to offer in a real fight other than if the opponents hand is on this side of your head this far from your arm and turned x number degrees then you grab them this far from the hand and throw them exactly like this in that direction perfectly then uour fucked other wise like come on.

Depending on how many hits to the head you are comfortable with in training, either take up BJJ (minimal head trauma even with extensive live training, but obviously the hole in your game of no striking) or MMA (minimal holes in your game, but more accumulated hits to the head from live training).

Bjj its pretty useful in 1v1 fights, inother type of fights you are pretty much fucked.

If you can find a good Krav Maga gym, it is one of the best self defense martial arts. Don’t be fooled, it is not a sport; there are literally no rules. You’ll learn hand to hand, ground game, gun and knife defense/offense. Lots of eye gauging and groin attacks that you’d use to win a real fight.

Really depends on what schools are near you and the instructor. Also do you want self improvement or just fighting skills? At the end of the day forget what we say and take the one that you feel nd interesting

I will go completely off road with suggesting watching a few HEMA (historical europeanartial arts) videos. Translation is learning to fight with medieval weapons. You learn from medieval treatises and spar frequently with protection gear. The only downside is the equipment cost. It has lots of adrenaline, teaches distance, and I've known people who have benefited from it in a rl altercation.

Wing Chun is pretty awesome, a little sensationalized by ip man movies, but it's a very powerful and explosive style. And it requires only a good wing Chun dummy to train with. Like jui jitsu will require a partner to even practice.

I know your opinion on this guys but BOXE totally changed both my body and mind. There's so much suffering in the training and growth and satisfaction that you see the rest of men and problems with red filters. Anything you choose remember it will take will power dedication and hard work and you won't always be so enthusiastic as right now. Also chose something you can practice at the closest gym to your work or house. Good luck boy

If all you want is a hobby and be able to street fight join a regular fight academy. Different teachers that have different styles. I learned Americanized muay Thai and BJJ. I started traditional BJJ with the gi, but ultimately left and switched to a typical fight academy. However I gave all this up years ago and all I do now is hit the bag.

Any firearm with a competent operator can kill anyone hand to hand and in a street fight. Don't just kick someone's ass, you have to fight to kill to get ahead.
