So I'm really good at the online OKC/Tinder game. Like I have 2-3 dates per week and I can often get laid every week if I put in the effort. This has been going on for over a year and I'm quite happy with my progress.

However, I've made no progress in meeting girls in real life. I don't have too much trouble talking to girls, even girls who are strangers, when I meet them in person. However, every time I approach a stranger IRL one of the following happens:

  • We run out of things to talk about and the conversation gets awkward quickly before I ditch. I often have time to come up with a response when texting or talking online, but not when approaching them in real life. This never happens on dates, but it does seem to happen often when I'm approaching girls.

  • We aren't in a position where I can ask them out easily, either they are surrounded by friends or they have to be somewhere or something like that. I want to spare them the awkwardness of turning me down in public, so I often don't ask them out if someone else has to hear them rejecting me.

  • She has a boyfriend, which I don't find out about until after I ask for her number or ask her if she wants to hang out again.

  • I get her number and she ghosts me really soon.

It's really confusing because I have such good game on the dating/hookup sites, like I know exactly what to do and how to make it work and how to get them to like me, however, I can't do it when approaching girls in real life. This is so bad that even though I have had 2-3 dates per week every week for the past year, I can't remember the last time that I had a date with a girl that I met with a cold approach.

This is frustrating and a little demoralizing, I know that most guys on this sub would kill to trade positions with me, but this struggle has been bothering me for quite some time. How can I get better at meeting girls in real life? I know that bars would be a good suggestion, but I don't have a ton of friends who frequent bars and I have difficulty hearing and having conversations in bars. Also, I'm a bit worried about consent when asking girls out or trying to get laid in bars. Is there anywhere else besides bars that I can work on this? Is there another way that I can work on this? Most importantly, does anyone have suggestions on how to translate online game into cold-approach game?
