I don't know if this is a good thing or bad thing...

Some background info: I'm very confident and content with my success, and when it comes to girls things just flow naturally. I could get girls to open up about themselves all the time, but existing relationships kept me from pressing things further.

After reading this subreddit for a while, I've grown much more self-aware and also self-conscious. Suddenly being nice or being a gentlemen is seen as "beta" and unattractive. Suddenly there are all these rules to follow, and if I break them I'll ruin my chances. Suddenly there are all these tests that I could fail. And it's making me much more self-conscious than before.

Granted I was never into the seduction scene due to committed relationships. But I still firmly believe I was (and am) attractive to the opposite sex. I didn't worry so much about not making the common mistakes, but now I'm unsure.

Should I just try to be myself and not be so concerned with the guidelines experts have set? Or should I stay committed and try to learn all the tips/guidelines and see if it improves things.
