Correct. This was one of my major revelations. The reason why this is so effective is because it boosts your confidence, reduces your anxiety and makes you relax. (Though it shouldn't be used as an excuse to stop yourself from improving either.) If you can't relax then you can't really have fun and girls want to have fun. So it's this that's imo the biggest issue and I'm starting to believe that many people who are attracted to pick up and stuff like that might just be suffering from low self-esteem or social anxiety. Inner game > outer game.

I've always been wary of frames like these, I feel like they tend to send across the wrong message.

Let's forget the girls angle for a second and consider this - - as a man, your self esteem is largely generated from the actions you take in life. The value you bring to the table, how you are a mentor to younger men, and how apprentice with and learn from older, wiser men and gain wisdom from them. So the struggle of trying hard at something failing, getting destroyed emotionally, hitting rock bottom, picking yourself up again - - is a constant cycle you'll go through in your life over and again - - as a man, you can't escape this, it's part of masculinity, as corny as that may sound - - to be "forged in the fire".

So catchphrases like "I am enough" tend to detract from the larger picture of "what am I doing with my life" - - pain is sometimes necessary, negative emotions, as uncomfortable as they are, are also necessary because they're also a kind of fuel for you to drive yourself.

Never underestimate testosterone. It's okay to be competitive sometimes, it's okay to be petty, it's okay to be a shark sometimes. Always better than the complacency of "I am enough".

Regarding women, dude, the very fact that guys here have the capacity to be self-reflective enough to ask these questions and examine themselves - - makes you pretty high value compared to some twenty one year old girl. So yeah ditch the "valuation" frame insofar as girls are concerned, girls will fuck anything with looks or game, haha - - - but never stop the critical enquiry of your own value as a man, and your value to your friends,to your family, and your contribution to society in general.

I support this phrase, it's really helped me with frame control. It's really, really structured the my inner game away from them and on me.

Naturally when a very attractive woman comes your way the focus of shift is on them, and their attractive attributes get placed on a pedestal. From here I mentioned the phrase, and it's almost like watching someone do something and you say

eh, I can do that.
