With women you generally just have to meet their baseline level of required attractiveness, which isn't terribly high. For college girls (especially a certain variety of shallow college girls) that baseline will be higher, but it's attainable for most guys. It's basically just "Is there anything obviously wrong with me that will make her friends look down on her if we hook up?" Dress decently, be in okay shape, have good personal hygiene.

Dude, you base your choices on physical appearance too. It's just life.

That being said, there's a minimum you need to hit and after that it's just availability and game.

Have you read CYC? (Conquer Your Campus). There's plenty of info on this in the book.

Anyways, plenty of average looking dudes will take the pretty girls home, you just take note of the better looking dudes more strongly and so it reaffirms your belief. Also, think about it this way. A lot of those guys are naturally confident as is (otherwise they wouldn't be pulling these girls) so of course you'll see them leaving with these girls.

If your excuse for not pulling is that you're not attractive enough, you really need to work on your game. Yes, girls can be shallow in the same way that guys can be, but they're generally much more forgiving.

Say you have the option between a beautifully wrapped, magnificent looking box that, upon further inspection, has nothing interesting inside of it, or a plain looking cardboard box with something absolutely awesome inside?

Sure, the beautiful box might pique your interest, but once you find out there's nothing good inside, it has lost its appeal. Meanwhile, the plain looking box was full of nothing but good things.

Hopefully you see the metaphor in that.

Needless to say, if the good looking dudes are pulling more, then there is more to it than just their looks.
