First time posting, long time lurker. I've learned a lot, and am still learning. I want my first post to be something I hadn't seen posted before, so here it is. Just happened.

I work in a lab on my university campus. It's attached to the eponymous hospital and by the main entrance is a little place to buy food, drink, etc. Bunch of tables and seats. I decided it was time to go down to get something because I was starving.

As I'm making my way down, i notice two (from what I can make out) HB7s sitting at a table with their noses to their books. The one cute blonde looks up and we make eye contact, and flash big ol' stupid smiles at each other. I didn't do anything with it at the time because I was thirsty goddamnit, and wanted something. I told myself I'd go back after I made my purchase and strike up a conversation.

Didn't my dumbass chicken out though when I noticed there were no other seats at the table they were sitting at. Nevermind the fact there were about 20 other free seats I could have moved to them.

The problem I immediately had was that there were no available seats at their table, it would look stupid. So I hauled my sorry ass to the elevator to reflect. Of course it'd be just as easy to pull up a chair in front of them and strike something up. I daresay I'll get hungry again in about an hour, if they're still there I wont fuck it up this time.

tl;dr cute girls at a table, didnt go up to sit because no immediate chairs to occupy next to them.

Maybe it's a weak example, but just because the logistics of something don't work out, doesn't mean they cannot be changed to your advantage. No seats next to them? Move one that's closeby. If they're there I'll update with how it all goes.
