When I start to be too much into the girl (i.e. more than she is into me), I vividly imagine her dumping me and my reaction showing her empathy and outcome independence. I then focus on how my life will continue without her and how I am grateful for all the good moments and lessons I learned thanks to her.

This method is an application to seduction of one of the mental tools described in A Guide to the Good Life: The Ancient Art of Stoic Joy. The idea here is to sometimes envision how life would be without the things we have to appreciate them more and be aware we can indeed lose them at any moment.
