What are the best technical methods?

This sort of question comes off as if you're getting frustrated and want some sort of short cut.

Those things don't work.

Simple things work: it's a two-sided coin.

You have to be capable of showing that you, as a man, are capable of pursuing your agenda/what you want.
But the flip-side is the most neglected one: you must be capable being aware of what she wants, taking it into consideration, and even offering it to her (so long as it doesn't come at the expense of yourself).

I'm comfortably successful with women, even much younger than me. However, my success is in certain settings, and with certain social dynamics. I sometimes find it limiting.

I'm not a good cold approacher, and I've decided to quit night game completely, unless I'm with buddies and the IOIs are very clear.

This is really vague.

So you're saying that you are bored of night game?
Under what circumstances have you had your successes?
How have you been managing if you're not comfortable with cold approaching?
What has this success looked like?

It's kind of hard to offer real advice as to which "techniques" you would want to know about, without knowing the answers to these questions.

Things like models is just what I don't need. More along the lines of the old "classic" PUA stuff, but those that have withstood the test of time, plus newer stuff that is good and to the point.

I mean, it's fine if you're already up on the content in things like Models. But is the issue that you already have all that down, or that you think it just doesn't work for you?

As for the classic PUA stuff, older doesn't necessarily mean better, any more than new means good. A lot of the old-timers have suffered consequences from the paths they chose and the way they chose to walk them.

Look at Mystery: he has wanted to basically settle down, but has found himself stuck in a cycle of imploding relationships, to the point where he was still having meltdowns, even years after the meltdown he infamously had at the beginning of The Game.
Style had to check himself into therapy, because of the issues he perpetuated on his own path.

In both cases, they were standing in the way of their own happiness and a lot of that was because of things baked into their Old School approaches to game. My point being that some stuff really hasn't stood the test of time. Some of the flaws have only been apparent as the long term effects of their lifestyle and mindsets have bore themselves out over the years.
