If you've previously met them, particularly on campus, it becomes much easier in my experience. You no longer have to go through the intense vetting process of "is this guy a creeper?" since you've already met and probably have lots of mutual friends. If you have class with them, ask them to study with you. If you don't just go up to them, be natural, be yourself and ask them to catch up. At the end, tell them it was really nice catching back up with them, and that you should hang out again - ask for her number, invite her to pregame with you and some friends or meet you out at a party the next time you go out - its much more low-risk, and if your college campus was anything like mine, actual "dates" were pretty rare.

Im kind of in the same boat... would be interested to see what people say. I think when were walking back from class, If i get her one on one, ill just ask her if she wants to grab something to eat sometime or something like that.

I'm not sure why it's different than not knowing her. You might run into difficulty because if a women decides that you aren't interested in her and places you into a friend zone do not put effort into getting yourself out. You move onto the next one. Show interest through slight contact with escalation throughout the process. If a girl doesn't want you to touch her she will let you know trust me.

Start hitting on her and if she notices the personality change, just smile or go, "it's just me!", "I dont notice the difference!", "everything changed since that day. /s" smile. Then immediately change the subject to new ice cream store.
