How To Win Friends And Influence People, by Dale Carnegie
Iron John: A Book About Men, by Robert Bly
The Art of Seduction, by Robert Greene
Mediations, by Marcus Aurelius (I recommend the Hays translation)
The Charisma Myth, by Olivia Fox Cobane

Well reading books is good, but try to pick up some real hobbies too.

You're gonna get 1001 books that you SHOULD read, but nothing will help as much as just getting out there and "doing-it"

In that same manner, the best book you're going to read will just be the one that you’re reading right now, due to the fact that YOU, right now..

..are the BEST that you’ve ever been.

And each passing day, you are getting even better

..and better.

I am going to take an oblique angle at your question. Your real question is, "how can I be less of a neckbeard?"

The answer isn't a book. The answer is go to the library. Take a shower and dress nicely and go to the library. Go read some magazines, every library has a selection of the current month's magazines. Read something you'd never read, like ArtNews, Vogue, Cook's Illustrated, Rock & Gem, etc. You can find some seriously different perspectives that you know nothing about.

And in addition, there are other people in the library. Yeah, it's supposed to be quiet, you can't talk to other people in the library. There are lots of other activities around the library, like reading clubs, films, etc. Look around at what other people are reading (this is especially easy in the magazine section, which is why I recommended it). Going to the library is the only reading activity that has any sort of social component in it. Reading at home, you are alone with your nose stuck in a book. In the library, you are amidst other people with varying interests but one thing in common: they like to read.
