Why do you read seddit? Is it just for the sake of reading? Or do you actually want to meet a woman, get into a relationship, date, get laid, or something similar?
If the answer is that you actually want to meet a woman, and you’re reading seddit regularly, and you’re not having success, here are two likely reasons why, and how to fix the situation.
Reading seddit has become a habit. Like watching TV. And READING ABOUT SEDUCTION is giving you a false sense of making progress with women.
You’re stuck in a “paralysis of analysis” cycle because of the wide range of varying and opposing opinions and advice that is available.
Number 1: Reading seddit has become a habit.
First off, there is no question that seddit is an invaluable resource of information about forming and advancing relationships with women, no matter what stage of the game you’re in. But the resource is only valuable if you use it to TAKE ACTION.
If you’re digging into advice on seddit, agreeing and disagreeing, analyzing the pros and cons of each suggestion, talking things over, getting opinions, and so on, THAT’S GREAT. But it’s only great if you’re doing that, and then TAKING ACTION.
If you’re not taking action, then seddit has just become a form of entertainment for you, like TV. And you’re use of seddit may have devolved into this without you even realizing it, because again, “talking about seduction” may falsely feel like making progress with actual women.
Number 2: You’re stuck in paralysis of analysis.
Yesterday I put up a post about non-neediness. Then I received a couple comments that really stood out as to why paralysis of analysis may be a problem for readers. Here’s some excerpts from the comments (i’ve edited these slightly to reduce space):
- Some women don’t respond well to teasing
- Being cocky funny all the time is ridiculous
- Being overly complimentary is needy, as is being over challenging
- Your definition of neediness misses the mark
- Teasing is a great technique not a strategy
Let’s start with #1, #2 and #3. These statements are absolutely correct. I agree some women don’t respond well to teasing. Some women don’t respond well to compliments. Some women don’t respond well to direct approaches. Some women don’t respond well to short guys. Some women don’t respond well to purple shirts. If you’re cocky funny all the time, that doesn’t work. If you're complimentary all the time, that doesn’t work. If you’re “any way” all the time, that doesn’t work. If you overdo it on anything, that can appear needy.
So what do we need to accept?
*NOT EVERY TECHNIQUE WORKS ALL THE TIME, ON EVERY WOMEN.*
But here’s the great part about all this. Are you going after EVERY WOMAN? No, some people may be going after 1 woman. Maybe some of you want to be big swingers and bed a dozen women. A hundred women. A thousand women. But what is a thousand women as a percentage of all the available women in the world. It’s zero (i.e. 1000 women divided by ALL women rounds to 0%).
So do you need to develop a game that works on every women? No, you need to develop a game that basically works on 0% of the available population of women.
And doesn't that sound like a very manageable task?
So how do we get past all of this analysis and actually move on to picking up women? Because again, whatever I post, people will agree and disagree. Whatever someone else posts, people will agree and disagree. And you know what? EVERYBODY is correct. Because every technique, strategy, definition, story and piece of advice that’s offered -- sometimes it will work, and sometimes it wont. It will work for some guys, and not others. It will work on some girls, and not others. So what do we do?
And before going to the next section, let me briefly comment on #4 and #5. I only put those in because of the words “technique,” “strategy,” and “definition.” When I read that, I felt like I was back in college discussing some ivory tower stuff that sounds great, but just gets in the way of functioning in the real world.
Guys, don’t spend time trying to determine what your definition of something is. Or if what you’re working on should be classified as a “technique” vs a “strategy.” Ignore all that and just start taking action using the method below.
How To Fix These Problems
This will be the simplest and shortest part of this post. Make a commitment to yourself (get a wall calendar or something so you can track your progress and hold yourself accountable).
The commitment is this:
When I go on seddit and I find a recommendation for improving my game. If I think that the recommendation sounds reasonable, like maybe it’s a good technique, strategy, or whatever. I will go out TOMORROW, and try it for myself, one time. And I will not come read seddit again, until I’ve tried that technique or strategy for myself, once. Outcome be damned.
Once complete, I will come back to seddit, do some analysis and discussion, and then find another technique for my arsenal, and go try that one.
Then I will keep track of what I’ve tried, and how it worked. If it fails, and I get some suggestions on seddit for tweaking the approach. I’ll repeat the process with the new suggestions. Or I’ll just move on to another technique. Either way, I will commit to trying it one time for myself, each day, before reading more.
That’s it. Every technique and strategy you find will have people saying it works and people saying it doesn’t. So just go try it for yourself and see what happens. And by taking action and holding yourself accountable, you will break the cycle of seddit just being a reading habit, or being stuck in paralysis of analysis.
