After an hour of being a coward and passing sets, I went after a girl who passed me and smiled and opened with "Hi, you're cute, so I wanted to meet you" and we started talking. I was surprised she asked me more questions than I asked her, and I could tell I was a bit nervous, may have even stuttered once—which I never do—but in the end I suggested an activity we both do and we exchanged numbers.
What I'm wondering now:
After using a direct opener, it was 100% comfort from there. When I said we should swap numbers, her tone seemed more of a friendly "sure, it would be cool to have another friend".
1) Was the fact that I called her cute in the beginning good enough, or should I have put in more to enforce this conversation as "man to woman" instead of "stranger to stranger"? At least, should I have mentioned something like this at the end of our interaction?
2) Haven't texted her yet. Good idea to bring intent back via text, or just text to plan our next meeting?
