Wow. I have been a beta my entire life. Finally got out of an unhappy relationship of 2 1/2 years a month ago.

After lurking this sub since a bit before, I've come to the realization that I need to get out. I've lost a bunch of weight and have been feeling confident in myself. After talking to a girl for a bit, I decided to ask this girl for her number. This girl is out of my perceived league, taller than me, and absolutely gorgeous. I didn't expect much but followed ideas found here that pushed the conversation further and eventually worked up the confidence to ask her out. She seemed super into it and it absolutely blew my mind that just keeping my confidence worked.

After hanging out and talking to my now married friend yesterday, he told me that women find confidence sexy which really helped me to not become my beta self or back down. Well it worked and I am beyond amazed. I have a long way to go to but feel like I'm off to a good start.
