This is a past event btw

There was a girl who I had been texting for awhile on IG (pathetic, I know) but eventually gave me her number. We know each other because we had coding class together so I'm not a total stranger.

When I got her number, I texted her a little and she was at a high interest level responding with multiple blocks of messages. After a while she didn't respond to one of messages and I sent 2 more ( about a week apart from one another) and after about 3 weeks she hits me with "Yo! what serious you talking about?" Because I had asked her if her drawings on IG were going to be a collection of drawings.

I didn't respond because I thought I would have done myself a disservice by not letting myself become taken advantage of my time.

Did I do the right thing? Or should I have brushed it off and responded?
