This happens all the time - I meet a great woman at a small, casual party or a small gathering at someone's house - not giant ragers by any means, like 15 or 20 people. We strike up conversation and talk for 10 or 15 minutes, share some laughs. I'll think, "this is good. She's cute. Maybe there's some potential here". Except I'm not really sure where to go from there. We eventually say "oh I have to talk to this person now/get a drink/go to the bathroom" and that's that. If we talk again, it will be in a large group. Nothing happens, proceed to go home alone.

It's not like a bar where you can ask them to dance or try to go to another bar/venue change or just go in for the kiss...it's a casual get together and everyone pretty much sees you so the vibes are so much different.

I guess my question is, how do people get laid at these things?
