Something similar happened to me. And to a friend of mine.

I'd say it's worse in a way. You know she's attracted to you to the point where she'll sleep with you, but she -- for whatever inherently unknowable reason -- won't any more.

Don't take the downgrade in friendship lightly. It's a slap in your face, and if you wanted more, then you should lay it down. You won't invest time with girls who treat you like that.

It's definitely easier to hook up with a girl that you've hooked up with before in the past, than some girl who ljbf's you right off that bat. Not that it makes getting out of the friend zone necessarily easy.

You have to decide what you want from this relationship. If you don't mind being just her friend, then it's no problem, but if you want something more, you have to let her know that's what you're looking for.

If she still just wants to be your friend, start seeing other people, and spend less time with her. Not saying you have to cut her off completely, but just don't become her emotional tampon to whom bitches about her crazy ex.
