I have found that in at least 70% of the 2 sets I open one girl will respond well and get talkative, the other will quickly go quiet. This often happens despite my attempt to involve both girls in the conversation, and giving them both good eye contact.

This is bad because it usually leads to either one of two things happening:

  1. The quiet girl ends the set by dragging her friend away because she is bored because she isn't part of the conversation. (Most common)
  2. The talkative one senses that the quiet girl isn't having fun, so drags her off, thus ending the set. (Far less common)

It is also bad, because it makes me feel uncomfortable because I'm very aware of one girl standing there looking bored. My game suffers as a result (I know it shouldn't, but I'm not at the stage where I can be un reactive yet).

An example. Last night I was in a cocktail bar solo and opened a two set (6 and a 7) with a situational opener I soon got an IOI from the 7, with her leaning in and pressing her boobs against me when talking to me, and generally being very talkative to me. The 6 soon went quiet and started looking bored. This put me off, and I ended the set.

Obviously ending the set when you start getting IOIs is a good way to not get laid, and this is partly my fault for losing my bottle, but I do need to come up with a way to deal with the quiet one.

My plan is this: call her out on being quiet, but in an understanding, non judgemental way. Two examples:

  1. "Your friend seems quiet". Turn to quiet one, and go into cold read which is true for most quiet people: "I bet you're the type of person that is quiet around people you've only just met, because you're unsure of them, and you want to figure them out. But once you get to know them, if you think they're a good person, you really come out of you're shell and are much more confident and talkative around them".

  2. Say that you think the talkative one is the dominant one of the two, go into finger length routine (Girls with long fingers have more testosterone blah blah blah).
