Here's the previous post: http://www.reddit.com/r/seduction/comments/d12wd/im_flying_out_to_meet_a_girl_who_ive_met_once_and/
First of all - thank you guys so much for the feedback on planning to have stuff to do in the city and inviting her along. I only found 2 or 3 things that I really wanted to do there - but by just having those in my back pocket and throwing out that I was going to be heading there later that day, she was constantly trying to impress me with things to do and wanted to go along... everywhere. This could have seriously backfired because I was literally away from her for 4 hours the entire 5 day trip. It was really not possible to get away without saying "leave me alone"... which would have made staying there awkward. Thank god she was pretty amazing or else I would have wanted to kill myself.
I'm not going to summarize the time I was there, but it was... better than I could have hoped for. Because of the way things went before I got up there she was in a complete frenzy of expectation. About 3 hours into day 1 she was all over me. I would HIGHLY recommend anyone to try this out at least once in their life. Honestly, the absolute worst situation would have been that she was annoying and then I would have gone to a hostel or couch surfed and gotten to explore a new city. Kind of a win-win. And in my case, she's flying down next month.
I think the most valuable thing I learned was expectation setting via emails beforehand. I really didn't do anything special once I was there besides continuing to just build intrigue by being vague.
Here's a few things I learned via the email/chatting/texting stage:
Be unpredictable. You've heard it before - and it's dead on. Sometimes I would wait 2 days before responding to an email. Sometimes I would wait an hour. Sometimes I would respond to everything she said and ask a few questions. Sometimes I wouldn't respond to anything she said and just make one semi-related sly comment.
Be vague and mysterious. I'd start off an email every now and then with something like "Hey! Just got out of an interesting meeting." and then continue on as normal without referencing it.
Compliment her - but act like you don't know it's a compliment. This isn't really the PUA way from what I understand - but it works in the same way (again, from what I understand). We only like other people because of how they make us feel about ourselves. Make her feel good - but not like she's a goddess you worship. It's the difference between something simple like "Wow you're sooooo smart!" and "Interesting, I don't know anyone who can do that". Or saying "You have such beautiful skin" and "Your skin is so soft".
Anyway, I'm no expert :)
I had a great time and wanted to share what I learned with anyone who is interested.
Thanks again for steering me in the right direction!
