College sedditors, where do you go to flex your day-game?

When I went to university (about 25k undergrads), I would go to the mall in front of the library. Lots of people collected there. As long as it's nice out, outside is the place to pick up girls. They're usually just lounging or doing light reading, so they're pretty relaxed and not busy. Easiest place in the world to get numbers. I could walk around for 30 minutes and get 3 numbers.

I also rode my bicycle around campus. This was freaking perfect. I would see a hot girl, slow down and say something to her as I passed, and if she responded well I'd either stop or circle around to continue the conversation. And I always rode very fast, so it seemed like I was in a rush to get somewhere. This works out well, because it makes you seem unavailable, it shows your interest by taking the time to stop and talk, and it provides a perfect excuse to leave quickly when you want to.

I did the student center occasionally, but it wasn't nearly as effective, except in the recreational areas. Lots of girls studied in the student center, and honestly I respect their need to get work done so when a girl's nose deep in a textbook, I leave her be.

The book store and the main areas of the library are great places. If a girl is in a quiet corner of the library, then she probably doesn't want to be interrupted, but if she's sitting in the main area, she's okay with some noise, and an interruption isn't a big deal.

"Whatcha reading?" isn't a particularly clever line, but it does give you an in and you can talk about the book for a little while. I've tried a few other things with varying success:

"Hey, I wrote that book!" (I didn't.)

"Why so serious?" (A lot of girls frown or squint when they read; this can lead to some nice negs).

"You know, I'm a lot more interesting than that book."

clubs club clubs. Also the campus center and sometimes in class.
