Talking to everyone at the gym, kickboxing, meditation, and general mindfulness of how you interact with others and how it affects the outcomes of those interactions are all great.

Talking to random people builds confidence because you’ll notice you’re almost always the only person around talking and enjoying themselves. Ask someone to spot you, introduce yourself and build rapport. I made friends with a gym regular I’ve seen around today doing just that.

Kickboxing is great, you realize that there’s some 5’5 guy who can fuck up anyone and would literally kill you with one kick. You get tough as shit, build strength and endurance, and get the benefits of rigorous training. You also lose the fear of getting hit, which for some guys is a huge and rewarding hurdle to get over. The knowledge that you can hold your own in a fight is the confidence icing on the cake.

Meditation gets a bad rap sometimes, a lot of “third eye” shit is associated with it, but it’s a phenomenal way to clear your head and be in the present and analyze yourself. You’ll sometimes realize that you’re better than you give yourself credit for, and other times you’ll find flaws to fix. All of that is good. It’s worth taking time out of your day for.

Reflect on important interactions you’ve had and how they would be influenced if you had held or lost frame. Don’t let it pollute your head though. Just remember highlights that helped or hurt you and keep them in the back of your head for next time. No need for a play by play with over-analysis thinking through every sentence of what happened.

Notice all these things take practice. Work on them if you aren’t already good at them, and it will take time. There’s also a great many other frame building practices but these are some suggestions.
