Basically, I'm deaf in one ear. This is fine for normal social settings, but on the dance floor it's led to a lot of awkwardness:

Her: "You smell nice. What cologne are you wearing?"

Me: "Yes." (If only I could follow that with, "the new fragrance by Calvin Klein")

I like to think I'm pretty witty so I prefer an atmosphere where I can use that to my advantage (because I am not a good dancer by any stretch). That said, I don't want to spend hours lurking in used book stores and coffee shops waiting for one cute girl to come by.

So far only thing I've really thought of are museum cocktail events/gallery openings.

Anyone got other suggestions?
