I am a 22 year old male and am moving to Florida in two months, so I am not looking for anything serious at all right now. I am taking a class at the local community college to fulfill a requirement for the grad school I'm attending in the fall. I recently broke up with my long term/first gf and I have not really talked to any girls since as I just graduated and moved home for the summer until I leave. Anyway, my summer class started on Monday, and before class started, an extremely attractive girl walked in. She's far beyond what I'd normally talk to, she's more the type I'd stare at in my awkwardness as class drags on. Anyway, during the first class, I found her leaning over and talking to me, asking a question at first. We walked down to the bookstore together during the break to purchase a required textbook, joking along the way. She sat near me in lab, but not next to me, so I was a little disappointed. On Wednesday, the second day of class, she came in and sat down right next to me, making eye contact as she walked in to get me to move my stuff over a little to make room for her. She had remembered my name, she must have heard the teacher calling it from the roll sheet as we had not exchanged names yet. It turns out she's interested in attending the school I just graduated from, so I took her aside and talked to her about living on/near campus, the teachers she would have, and various info about the school. She told me about her stint in the military (which is intimidating!) and we talked about the professional degree I am going for. The sat next to me in lab and we talked more then. After class, we exchanged emails and walked out to our cars together, which her initiating some conversation about her plans after class (she had to drive to the other campus to take a yoga class til late).
I am horrible with girls. I'm awkward, shy, and not THAT good looking. But my last gf gave me a lot of confidence that I never had, as did graduation and a variety of other things. I don't feel like the old me, but I'm not sure how to capitalize on that yet. I don't know how to take things with this girl to the next level since I never had before, especially not as my new confident self. How can I get things started with her to try to have some fun before I leave? I'd like to have a friend to go out for drinks with or something for the next couple months instead of sitting at home with my parents all the time.
Anyway, I'll update the post more as questions are asked, I'm really just a noob at talking to girls and don't know how to use my newfound confidence successfully. Let me know if you have any advice! THanks
Edit: I also think its worth noting that she started talking to me as soon as she heard the teacher ask me what my profession was going to be - it's something that'll garner a fairly hefty sum. Gold digging perhaps? Either way..It's attention that I'm not used to!
Edit 2: She also threw a couple "negs" at me or whatever you guys call them nowadays, where she'd kinda troll me a little. Example: anatomy professor talking about not smoking, girl looking at me and saying "tylerrrr", though she doesnt know if i do or don't smoke.
