Ok. For ME, not knowing where I want to go on the first date is to ME a bad indicator of the girl I'm dating. There is EVERYTHING in NYC, something, like a glove, should fit you both perfect off of your first impressions with her.

But forget me, because my final advice is this: don't ask us...figure it out for yourself.

Does she know you are new to the city? Ask her to show you around. Maybe say "Hey why don't we go out for drinks? You can take me to your favorite place, but next time I choose" or something. Solves your problem, and also sets the foundation for a second date.

Don't go to a bar. Bars don't make you stand out. Bars are where you go to meet girls, not for dates. Go to a hookah bar or a rock climbing gym or a poetry slam or a drum circle.

Brooklyn is a big place. What neighborhood. I live in williamsburg and can give you some good suggestions around there.
