I went to target earlier this morning with my friend (a girl). The cashier chick was cute, and obviously pretty flirty with me. Later in the evening, just now, I had to go back to Target (this time alone) to get some boxes.

Just by chance, when I went up to the checkout lane, the cashier was switching shifts and the cute girl from earlier took over. She said, "Wow, you came back to see me, huh?". I said something like, "I'm a frequent shopper." And then she said, "Man I've been here since this morning" - which I saw as an opening so I asked, "What are time do you get off of work?"

She said "Nine o'clock." At this point it was now or never, so I asked, "Maybe we should go out sometime, can I have your number?" She said, "My number?" Not mad, or upset, just kind of surprised. That's when I said, "Yeah, your number" with a smirk. And then....

"I don't think my boyfriend would like that. If not, I definately would." That's where I... kind of didn't think hard enough for a good reply, smiled a bit and then foolishly pressed cancel on the ATM pad because I wasn't paying attention. Luckily, that kind of broke the subject back to, "Oh crap, you canceled your transaction". We parted greetings and I left.

Oh well, at least I fucking tried, eh? And nothing bad happened. The world didn't end. And I didn't get slapped or kicked in the balls.
